Mark James Brummitt was born November 23, 2008 at 1:56pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs 10 oz and 20.5 inches long. He looks a lot like his sisters and just like his daddy! You be the judge...

The first weekend of the month were my baby showers. They both were sooo cute and very fun. My first was just with my closest girlfriends, Just being able to sit around snack on good food, gossip and catch up, is great! I don't get much of that with no kids and being that I live 2 hours away. The second was all family and close family friends... pretty much family too. It was great to see everyone. I don't see much of them either, except of course my parents and siblings. All the gifts we received were perfect and cute, everything I pretty much needed. It's nice knowing after 3 kids, exactly what your really need!
Thank you to all of you who made our showers special and were there to share them with us!
After the shower on Sunday, the girls and I went to Aunt Diana's for a photo shoot. I hadn't planned on doing pics with this pregnancy, but I came up with a picture project which required a preggo pic.
Soooo... Now we wait, tomorrow is my Doc appointment and he will let me know where to go from here. We are hoping Friday is the big day, and in that case, Marky will share his birthday with Great Uncle Koo Koo! That is pretty special! So keep checking back to the blog to see if anything new has come!

Can you believe Lilly is already 5?!? She has been so anxious for her birthday party, that she forgot about the actual birthday! Thanks to the phone calls from her Great Grandma Betty Lou, Aunt Melani, Great Grandpa Bill and Grandma Deanna & Grandpa Paul, she realized what her birthday was all about!
Mark and I went and picked up a few things for her today to help celebrate, and even took her balloons to school. She was so excited, she even got a little goody bag from Mrs. Stricker, her teacher, and was sung to twice! So now for this weekend for the real party! I am looking forward to having our family and friends come out to join us... especially the few of them that haven't been to our house yet! It's nice to know that we have family and friends willing to go the extra mile for us! Thank you guys :)
Thank you all who sent cards for her as well, it's the little things that count, and she will always remember those little things. I am starting to realize that she is at that point where she retains A LOT of information, birthdays are always something to remember. I can remember being 5 and can still remember all the fun things and all the people in my life at that point. It is important to me that she has those memories as well.... Childhood, wasn't it great??
I thought that I would post a few pictures of the past 5 years to see how she has grown! Sorry if I am a little sappy... time has just flown by and it has all just hit me :)

Today we had our last 3d-4d ultra sound. Here is a little video of his face and movement. He definitely looks like the family, but seems to have his own look. The girls looked a lot alike in their ultrasounds, maybe he looks different because he is a boy?? Non the less, he is still very cute as far as we can see. I can't wait to be able to compare the real pics to the 3d ones!!

On Sunday August 24Th at 7:54am, Natalee Kelsey Rotta was born. She weighed a perfect 7lbs 8oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Jessica did so great during her labor and delivery... I am very impressed by her :) Natalee is beautiful, a perfect mix of both Jessica and Nick, and looks just like her big sister Nicole. We are so excited, and can't wait to see them in a few weeks here at our house!

Today was Emmy's first day of Preschool! She was really bummed when Lilly got to go to school last week, and she didn't, so this day was a long time coming for her. It's really nice when your kids want to go to school, you can get them to do everything they need to do so they can go... it's great!
As I was getting Emmy dressed this morning, I tried to put a diaper on her just in case she had an accident. She would have nothing to do with it, she wanted to wear her big girl panties! We talked a lot about the bathroom when we got there and tried to get her to go before I left. I just hope she gets it and tells the teacher when she has to go. She does a pretty good job at home, so we will see when I pick her up if she has on the same clothes I took her in!
I am so excited for her, she is so happy to be there. I get to work in her class on Thursday. I am looking forward to being there to see how she does!

Today was Lilly's first day of school. She was up at a bright 7 a.m. ready to go. Unfortunately she had to wait because she has the afternoon class which starts at 11:00 a.m. Once we were there she was even more excited, there was a lot going on and just trying to learn the whole schedule of things.
Lilly's teacher's name is Mrs. Stricker. We talked on the phone for 1/2 hour last night! She is amazing! Mark said when we left that some people are just meant to be teachers, and she is one of them! She is funny, up-beat and extremely outgoing. I know I will get along great with her, and I am so happy that Lilly has such a great first teacher!
Here are a couple of pics from her first day, and I am sure most of you have already seen them on kodakgallery.com, but I have to put them here too :)

We finally know what we are having... A boy!! We found out Friday morning. Miss Lillian seems to be a tad bit psychic, she knew all along that she was having a brother. We even tried to throw her off a few times to see if her mind would change... it didn't! We took both of the girls to the appointment. with us so they got to see the baby. Surprisingly they both kind of get it. After the U.S. tech told us that it was a boy, Emmy said "Baby... Boy?" She catches on really fast! Now that we for sure know that it is a boy, the girls love to talk to him. They would talk to the baby before, but it's more exciting knowing that it is a boy!
We do have a name picked out... He will be named after his daddy and grandpa Phil. His name will be Mark James. He is not a Junior, he will just carry on his daddy's name. It was something that Mark really wanted, and I agreed. I'm sure, for those of you that already seem worried about it, we will have a nick name for him. It's not that big of a deal, and I assure you, it will be easy enough to decipher!
My dad was thrilled to have his first grandson named after him, he and Mark already discussed taking him fishing and hunting. Mark passed to torch to my dad, knowing that he loves it all so much and is good at it. He will be an amazing teacher and wonderful grampy! My dad was very very close with his mothers, father. I see the same in our situation, I can't wait! Luckily the name "James" is very popular in both our families. My brother and uncle are both James and Mark's uncle is also James, so the name carries on!
So there is the big, long awaited news, we are all very excited! Jeff and Lindsay's baby boy will have a boy cousin just 2 months apart to grow up with too. So Little Mark won't just be around girls growing up. Uncle Jimmy has already called the future and sees the boys racing and doing derbys together. I am sure they will have great influences to look up to between Jeff, Jim, Daddy, and Grandpa!

So with gas prices rocketing and less than appropriate cars for 3 kids and a dog, we decided that we needed a more economical family car! Luckily we found a dealership that was willing to work with us after all that we have been through in the past year. Along with them willing to help us, we actually got to pick something that we wanted, and not just settle for something that was not what we really wanted. So Mark went to the dealership on Sunday and reported back to me for hours while I was home with knots in my belly. I was virtually shopping with him on the dealers website. We knew that we really wanted a Cadillac, but the one that we loved was too small for 5 people and a dog, being that it was a car. So the next best thing was the SRX. It is a "Crossover" and as Mark likes to call it a "Wagon". It has 3 rows of seating for those special occasions when we need the extra seats. It is beautiful and perfect. Mark picked it out all by his self... kudos Mark :)Here is a picture of our new addition... By the way... anyone want a Suburban, Jetta or Jeep? LOL! These pics were taken with my cell phone, I have since been advised that I need to take some better pics with my camera, so maybe this week I will do that!

Awww... the joys of potty training an almost 2 year old! Granted I am impressed that Emmy has taken it upon herself to learn to potty train, but it is really like training a puppy at this point! She is VERY independent, she wants to only wear panties, so making it to the potty isn't always, the case. We are to the point that she will tell me "Pee Pee mommy" and all I have to say is "Okay then go on the toilet and let me hear it!" As soon as we get home from being out, she has to come home and take off her pull-up and put her panties on. I am hoping that she will be done by her 2nd birthday in 2 weeks, that would be awesome!! Lillian wasn't finished potty training until she was 3! I would like to have only 1 baby in diapers by the time the new baby comes. Wish us luck :)

Sooo... as of Thursday of last week, I am no longer on my blood thinning shots, YAY!! Thank GOD for amazing new doctors and second opinions! We always questioned the first doc, but since I knew I would be transferring at 12 weeks from the first doctors office, I figured I would just wait til then for my second opinion. I absolutely LOVE my new doctor! He delivered Emersyn, and from that day on, I always knew that I would want him to deliver me again if I ever had anymore babies. I also knew that I would want him as my regular OB, but I always felt weird transferring from his friend and fellow colleague. I look forward to the rest of my pregnancy with him, since seeing him, a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I have NO doubts in my mind now when I leave his office. My first appt. with him, was sooo thorough, he even talked about stuff that I would have never asked about... he knows all the questions women have, so he just talks about it all! Anyway, I thought I should do an update, since it's been a while.
I have been doing a lot of pictures lately! For those of you that check my Kodak pics, I have posted some of the work I have done... I know its not my family, but I figured I would share what I have been up to... OH yeah and if you are ever confused about what the pics are on that site, there is a CLEAR explanation below each date of the pics posted.
Okay, so I guess I am done for now, I will try to keep up a little better on here too!

So while on the computer this morning, Emmy came into the office with a medicine dropper. I started to watch what she was doing, and realized that she was playing "mommy", she was giving herself shots in the belly like I do! She is not usually around when I give them to myself, but apparently she has seen it done once or twice! I figured since she knew how to do it, I would try and make it a little more life like, and add a little bit of water to the dropper.... check it out!

We had an appointment with the Doctor yesterday, he said everything is looking good and the baby is right where it should be! This week we also found out that I am allergic to Heparin! I am now on lovenox, it is way more expensive but at least I have a back up plan, now just hopefully I am not allergic to this one!! So far so good with it. I am looking forward to my transfer to my new doctor in the next few weeks! I am really looking forward to my second opinion with Dr. Lewis. He delivered Emersyn and I really liked him. He is outgoing and knows his stuff! He has been doing this for over 40 years. It will just be nice to be in a more upbeat office. So here is my latest pic of the baby, you can see how much it has grown in just 2 weeks!

We went and had an ultrasound yesterday and came home with a new picture, one I can finally share! My other 2 were just little blobs. It is amazing how much they grow in just 2 weeks. It went from a grain of rice to a kidney bean... crazy right? I have 5, count them 5 more ultrasounds left, so in 2 weeks there will be another new picture. The Dr. said the baby is growing really well and everything looks good! So here IT is...

Apparently I am immune to more than 1 type of birth control, e.g. LILLIAN and baby #3! So obviously it wasn't in the plans, but we are very excited and happy! We are due November 30th, 2008. Unfortunatly with this pregnancy, I ended up a "high risk". I have what is called "APS", watch the video to learn more: http://www.webmd.com/video/aps-pregnancy My Dr. decided to do these special blood tests because I have had 1 miscarriage in the past, and the APS usually shows up after 1 or 2 pregnancies. I am doing 2 heparin shots daily and taking 1 baby asprin as well. I will do this through my whole pregnancy up unitl a few weeks before I deliver. They say I will probably be induced 1-2 weeks ahead of my due date, so we may be looking for a Thanksgiving baby... little turkey! I will try to be good with my updates on here as well. I have U.S. pictures but they aren't anything that you can see very well, but next thursday I have another one, so hopefully we can see a baby figure then. I will be 8 weeks at that appointment. Im looking forward to being out of my first trimester, but the whole 9 months will be nerve racking for sure!! I am going to post a little pregnancy ticker too, so you can always come by the blog page and check it to see what the baby looks like an how far along I am too... Yippy!!

This year for Easter, we got to visit with Grandpa and grandma Rasgdale and the Teixeira family!! On Friday, we went and had dinner with Grandpa, grandma, Heather, Cassie and cousin Andre. My dad made awesome ribs and salad with Olloliberry pie for dessert. Saturaday, we had another BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Teixeira's with the whole family over for March birthdays. It was great seeing everyone. Sunday was easter and the girls had way too much candy and plenty of fun! Watch the slide show of the weekend!

On Sunday, we all went for Mark's first supermoto race at Willow Springs. He ran the "Horsethief Mile" track, it has lots of up and downhills so it was a bit challenging! He is still sore, but he had so much fun and can't wait until the next race. He buddied up with one of the racers in his class, they had a couple of exciting races against eachother! Marks friend Mark and his wife, Carrie and daughter Courtney came out to help and watch, and Ed, Katherine and the kids came out as well! Mark had a great audience and support for his first race. We can't wait for the next one!! I really enjoyed taking the pics of it all too... good practice :) I also posted more pics on my kodakgallery.com page too.
