The Brummitt Family: November 2007

Thanksgiving was great this year, we made a 1 day trip out of it but it was worth it to come home and sleep in our own home. Our first stop was at the "Teixeira" family's T.G., all the cousins were there and Aunt Lani, Uncle David and Dawn, and of course our whole clan. The food was GREAT, we ate probably way too much... but it's always worth it once a year... right?!? I got some pictures while I was there too, some are a surprise so I can't post them yet, but I will have a few!
So our next stop was at Aunt Diana and Pat's house. Everything was set up soooo cute, I know we have had parties, but I think this was out first Thanksgiving there! All the boys were there and a few of the kids. Lilly and Emmy had a lot of fun, there were plenty of animals to play with and DIRT BIKES to ride. Lilly actually had the nerve to get on the 50 with Cousin Matt, she had a blast. I think that gave Mark a big push to get Lillys 50 running, now we just need some training wheels for it! We finally got home at about 9:30 or so... but the fun didn't stop then!
Carrie and I had talked about going shopping on "Black Friday".... geee we are smart! I had a little feeling that Walmart (where we really wanted to go) had a line already formed, so we took a drive down there and sure enough, there was a line... but at 11 pm there were only about 50 people. We really didn't want to stand out in the freezing cold for 6 hours, so we went back home. At 3:45am we made our way back, and to our dismay, the line was a good 1/4 mile long!!! We then decided to make our way across town to ToysrUs, the line there wasn't to excruciating... But Kmart was just down the street and their line was only about 15-20 people long, so we figured we better start there. Good thing we did too because that line grew very long as well! OKAY so for those of you that watch Vh1, there was a show called "Flava of Love 2".... do you know it??? Remember "Pumpkin"? yeah she is the one who spit in "New York's" face! Well she pulled up and was talking to a girl right behind us in line! I saw her and had to look a few times, she probably thought I was crazy, but whatever! So then I realized who she was, and I wanted to call Mark so bad because we watched that episode together and laughed, so I thought he might enjoy that, but uh... not at 4am! Back to the story... we made it in Kmart and for about $96 I got most of my kids shopping done!! I was so excited! Then we braved it and went back to Wally World! I then got the last few things I wanted there, and now I am virtually done... WOOOOO HOOOOO!!! So in a nutshell I have gotten just about 5 hours of sleep in the past 48 hours... good times! Saving money does crazy things to a girl haha!
